When the local market cannot fill the role
Across hospitality, construction, care and logistics, many Maltese employers cannot find enough people locally. Recruiting from outside the EU is often the only way to staff a business properly.
It is also where hiring most often goes wrong: unclear requirements, candidates who do not match the job, applications that stall. StaffBridge manages the process so you do not have to learn it the hard way.
One partner from search to start date
We find and interview candidates against your brief, check their experience and documents, and support the single-permit application with you and the candidate.
You keep the final say on who you hire. We keep the process moving and tell you early if something will take longer than expected.
Honest timelines, no overpromising
Permit processing is decided by the authorities, not by an agency, and anyone who promises a fixed date is guessing. Your consultant will give you a realistic range at the start and update you as the application progresses.
If you need someone sooner, we will also propose candidates already in Malta who can start without a new permit.
Candidates who stay
A hire is only successful if the person arrives, settles in and stays. We screen for motivation as well as skills, are straight with candidates about work and life in Malta, and stay in touch after the start date.
That is the difference between filling a vacancy and solving a staffing problem.

Frequently asked questions
Can my company in Malta hire workers from outside the EU?
Yes. Third-country nationals can work in Malta under a single permit, which the employer applies for. StaffBridge finds and screens the candidate, then guides you through the application so it does not stall on paperwork.
Do EU and EEA workers need a permit?
No. EU/EEA citizens can work in Malta without a work permit. If you want to hire only people who can start without one, tell us and we will shortlist only those.
What does StaffBridge handle in the work permit process?
We source and interview the candidate, check that the profile fits the role, and help you and the candidate prepare and submit the single-permit application. The permit itself is issued by the authorities, so processing times are outside our control — your consultant gives you a realistic timeline up front rather than a promise.
How long does it take to bring in a worker who needs a permit?
Longer than hiring someone already in Malta, because permit processing and travel have to be added to recruitment. If a role is urgent, we will suggest candidates already in Malta with valid documents alongside any overseas options.
Which roles do companies recruit from abroad?
Most commonly hospitality and catering, construction and trades, care and healthcare, cleaning, warehousing and logistics, and skilled technical roles — wherever local supply is short.
What does it cost to hire through StaffBridge?
Making a request is free, the fee is paid by the employer and agreed before we start, and candidates are never charged. Email sales@staffbridge.mt or call +356 9958 8696 for terms for your role.
